Rihanna is a very influential Artist in many ways than other. As of one of my favorite female artist I can truly say Rihanna has made it acceptable to be rebellious and a trendsetter and still set an example for her young audience that idolizes her.

Moving forward with his song writing and producing experience Ocean began working on his mix tape "Nostalgia, Ultra " which was released in the summer of 2011. His hit singles "Novacane" and "Swim Good" pushed him forward with his career as a male artist.

The Key Element to Frank Oceans success was an unreleased song he recorded and written titled "Thinking Bout You ". The single became popular when artist such a justin beiber , willow and jaden smith recorded their own covers to the powerful song . This song showed made many of his fans as long as the world that frank ocean had a lot to offer as a male artist

This overnight success suddenly opened many doors for Ocean. He worked on Beyonce's album 4 where he produced and wrote her song " I Miss You ". Ocean also worked with Hip Hop heavyweights Kanye West & Jay Z on their album Watch The Throne where Ocean appeared on the tracks " No Church In The Wild" and "Made In America".

Frank Ocean plans to release his Freshman album titled "Channel Orange" in July of this year. He has already released a song off the album , "Pyramids: which has already became popular on youtube and the "twiitersphere".

Azealia Banks

 The Mermaid Vixen

A New York native and innovator of her own fashion , Azealia Banks came into the rap industry hitting hard ready to premier. Inspired by vintage new york 90's fashion and the modern female hipster , Azealia truly one to watch in the year 2012. Azealia's musical influences can be compared to artist such as Santigold, Missy Elliot and Nicki Minaj. The "Liquorice Bitch" is a Hip House music monster that came into the game swinging for the competition with her debut single "212 ft. Lazy Jay " off her EP "1991" available on iTunes

Azealai considers herself a Hip Hop Mermaid Vixen, with the multi colored hair and mermaid like inspired outfits to go along with her persona.

  • Jumanji & Aquababe are two hard hitting songs which Azealia sounds like a more updated version of Lil Kim & Foxy Brown ; being that Azealia is from Harlem , this is to no surprise.

Azealia is truly a new and fresh face for Hip Hop having her own twist on the rap game . I can expect many great accomplishments for the mermaid in the next few upcoming years

American Rebel

When America was said to be "...the land of the free and the home of the brave", they sure were right because the American Rebel trend is freely expressed and bravely overlooked all across this great nation. This particular trend came about when the printed vintage patterns trend did, but this one seemed to have taken over like some new craze.  American rebel accounts for anything American flag patterned as well as navy and military inspired clothing .

Various Celebrities have gotten into this trend as well..

Azealia Banks

Solange

Wiz Khalifa

Lady Gaga & Beyonce

This Trend also accounts for shoes , hats and scarfs etc.
