Rachel Zoe once said that "Style is a way to say who are you without having to speak." There are many people in the world who live by the laws of fashion ,its almost like it comes natural; But none of probably live for fashion as much as Courtney Markell. Courtney Markell(age 27) is an upcoming stylist, designer and consultant in the Atlanta Area. He has received his Associates degree from Bauder College in Fashion Merchandising and now is pursuing on getting his Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design from Savannah College Of Art & Design.
"I've always had a passion for fashion and entertainment", is what Courtney told me during our interview. "It really wasn't until 2010 when i stumbled into the fashion world and then decided, maybe this what i can do."
Courtney Markell is a newly recognized face in the Atlanta Fashion Community.

I then continued on with our interview by asking What does it take to become and outstanding stylist
A:" True passion for fashion , as well as being willing to do research on designers as well as what styles or trends are in for the season.

Courtney then explained to me where his unique style came from.
A: "Just as i have , my style has matured over the past couple of years; my style is a collaboration of the urban rebel and the high fashion gentleman. he then added " I decided to stop following the trends everyone else follows and instead set them; and individual one to call my own. "

As a true lover of fashion , there are many people Courtney Markell would love to work with . "As A stylist I would love to collaborate with Brad Goreski who i idolize , i also would have had the pleasure of working with the late Alexander McQueen , and if i had the chance to style any celebrity it would most definitely have to be Rihanna."
Some of Courtney's favorite designers include Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs and a upcoming designer out of the Atlanta scene Christopher Morris.
Going on with our interview Markell gave me some advice on being an aspiring stylist
A: NEVER STOP! No matter how many No's anyone receives , there is always an opportunity for a YES!

Courtney has been working on his Bow tie collection since last year. "Per ' se " which is the name of the collection is still in works " is what Courtney told me . He then added that "It will always be a true dream of mine, just to say i have my own collection and i created that."

We then ended the interview with one last question
Q: What will become of Courtney Markell within in the next 10 years ?
A: I see myself becoming a fashion mogul, one who has styled many, created his own name and leaves a stamp In the fashion industry.
